Lüna Bruyant trained in Toulouse and at the Sorbonne in Paris, and holds the French agrégation in visual arts.
Her artistic practice, primarily consisting of large-scale acrylic paintings, is rooted in an exploration of the realistic representation of the body and its capacity to make perceptible a presence that is both sensory and psychological.
The bodies she paints, whether her own or those of others, are not merely conceived as supports for the representation of flesh. Through a realistic treatment, at times approaching quasi-photographic accuracy, and through their installation in space, they become a space for mediating lived experience, a site of projection and circulation of affects, capable of becoming a true, real and active subject.
The spatialization of the depicted body, as a communicative surface, thus becomes the vehicle for a psychological, and sometimes even physical, exchange between the represented body and the viewer’s own body.

Sa pratique picturale, essentiellement constituée de peintures acryliques sur grands formats, s’inscrit dans une recherche autour de la représentation réaliste du corps et de sa capacité à rendre perceptible une présence à la fois sensible et psychique.
Le corps peint, le sien comme celui des autres, n’y est pas seulement envisagé comme un support d’esthétisation de la chair. Par un traitement réaliste, parfois proche d’une exactitude quasi photographique, ainsi que par son installation dans l’espace, il devient un espace de médiation du vécu, un lieu de projection et de circulation des affects, susceptible de devenir un véritable sujet, réel et agissant.
La spatialisation du corps figuré, en tant que surface communicante, est alors le vecteur d’un échange psychique (et parfois même physique) entre le corps représenté et le corps réel du spectateur.
